January 2012 Newsletter
The
board of directors would again like to thank everyone for a very good year. We
had very good attendance at all of our functions making our work worth while and
I’m sure with your help the coming year will be even better.
Like
all of the others our annual banquet was superb. Dean and Kris Adkins with their
three daughters did a fantastic job of entertaining and all of us enjoyed a
delicious buffet by Jay’s. Dean, along with KMA, has been a big help over the
years so if you get a chance, tell them thank you.
Beverly
and I are going to try something new this winter, staying home. We are planning
to go to Arkansas or possibly as far as northern Texas in March with some
friends to do some fishing along with site seeing. But if we get a lot of snow
and cold weather, we might change our minds and head for McAllen in January.
Our
next meeting will be Tuesday January 10th 2012,
7:00 p.m. at the Yorktown hall. I will have the program on the Florida Flywheelers.
A lot of you have asked me about this unique show. Also bring your favorite toy
model and tell about it for roll call. We haven’t done this for a while and it
is always interesting. See you there.
Again
it is time for dues. They make it possible to pay the hall rent, mailings and
all the yearly events. So a big thank you to everyone helping us out.
Have
a happy and prosperous new year.
